Brianna Barnes began dancing at the age of three in her hometown Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has trained with national award winning choreographers at Ann Arbor Dance Classics for over thirteen years. Throughout her many years of dance she has been strategically trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Contemporary, Pointe, Musical Theatre and Hip-Hop. During her time in Michigan she competed with her team and as a soloist for over ten years. As a competitive dancer Brianna received numerous awards from dance competitions and conventions such as West Cost Dance Explosion, Cathy Roe Ultimate Dance, Jayson Michaels’ Energy Source Dance, and ARTS International Talent Showcase. At a national dance completion Brianna was scouted by a talent agent and later signed to Albany Talent & Model Management.
At the age of eleven Brianna began to assist various dance classes where she shadowed professional dancers and choreographers. Discovering her love for teaching at such a young age has given Brianna years of experience in teaching children of all ages in various styles of dance. Brianna is currently a student at Kent State University where she is majoring in Special Education and minoring in Dance and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She is overwhelmed with joy to be a part of CFDC where she is very excited to share her passion, love, and determination with the entire studio!
